She has been a student at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) for over 20 years and lives in Pune, India. She was a student of Geeta Iyengar from whom she learned, worked and attended her therapeutic classes

Sushama Chitale

Sushama was a direct student of B.K.S. Iyengar, Geeta Iyengar, and Prashant Iyengar for over 20 years, currently teaching at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI).

Sushama transmits the art of yoga with enthusiasm, energy, precision and empathy. In her classes she has students ranging from the youngest and most skilled to older adults and patients with different health conditions. Sushama teaches with passion and gives her students the courage, security and courage to perform the poses, and they always leave classes with a smile.

She has been invited by the Japan Association 2 times to share her knowledge of therapeutic yoga for older adults and minor injuries.
